DAWN NIELSON
artist + curator rooted in place, material, slowness + meaning

Kamanė Studio is artist Dawn Nielson’s contemplative art studio nestled in the Columbia River Gorge, a landscape that infuses the work with a sense of wonder and elemental magic.
Rooted in material curiosity, light, and place, the studio’s practice includes encaustic wax paintings and sculptures, acrylic paintings, wire sculptures, and fluid blends of these mediums, creating quietly powerful works that invite pause, reflection, and moments of tranquility within an ever-shifting world.
